Company
Company is a thoughtfully curated co-working space that fosters a community of forward-thinking companies, spanning from startups to enterprises. Located on Madison Ave, adjacent to Grand Central, the building is a bustling hub containing working spaces, retail, and hospitality.
I designed the brand identity and signage system for the whole building, including collateral such as menus, swag, and staff uniforms.
My Role
Brand Identity
Signage & Wayfinding
The custom-drawn wordmark draws inspiration from the 1950s information age seamlessly blending a tech-inspired feel with a human touch, through the use of sharp angles and soft curves. The letterforms exude confidence and trustworthiness, while simultaneously radiating approachability.
Wordmark
Logomark
The logomark depicts a multi-layered building that symbolizes the added value created by Company's curated mix of tenants, companies, and hospitality.
The logomark can also be used as a graphic device, expanding its layers to fit the medium.
Color, Typography & Iconography
The color palette is kept simple and mostly monochromatic, acting as a canvas for the tenants of Company to fill in.
The fonts are functional and educational in nature, conveying information in a clear manner. Company Sans is custom drawn, with the help of Isometric & Nonpareille, to match the wordmark.
Similarly, the iconography uses the same angles and curves as the wordmark.
For Company’s various programming, I created a bold design system using simple graphics and photography. Flyers are printed in black and white on colored paper to establish a clear hierarchy between events and evoke a sense of nostalgia for office life.
